Session Description: We know learning compassion increases students’ sense of well-being and improves the classroom environment for all learners – but simply put, it can be difficult to find both the time and quality lessons. In this session, just in time for Red Ribbon Week, we will explore several resources and activities that will enhance the Social Emotional Learning that students need in order to be successful in school and in life. K-12 educators will leave this session with a comprehensive unit covering SEL, wellness, and prevention education that is aligned to the CASEL standards, including interactive scenarios and self-guided activities. Resources are available to K-12 educators and students at no cost on the EVERFI platform thanks to community partners like the NFL and United Way. You will earn 1.5 hours of Professional Development credit for attending the session.
