The CPA Approach to Build Math Foundations in the Elementary Classroom
The Concrete Pictorial Abstract (CPA) approach is a system of learning that uses physical and visual aids to build a child’s understanding of abstract topics. Pupils are introduced to a new mathematical concept through the use of concrete resources. In this series, participants will gain knowledge and strategies on how to build mathematical foundations for students and design a personalized approach to learning mathematical foundational concepts.
Audience: PK-5 educators and leaders
Certificate Hours: PD certificate for 5 hours upon completion of two day boot camp
