Just Keep Swimming

“7 Why’s”

I was told to use the “Seven Why’s” for my life. What are they? I’ll tell you. They are questions that you ask yourself that start with why. It’s so you can figure out why you are the way that you are.

But what happens when you come across a question that you can’t answer? That happened to me. We are constantly asking ourselves why. Why are we the way that we are? Why were we put on this earth?  And so on. I am sure this has gone through everyone’s head. All these thoughts are running through your head and you don’t know what to do.

It’s Hard

It’s like you’re swimming in the ocean. You’re doing fine, it’s all good but then the tide decides to take you under. You’re struggling, but you want to keep going. You’re not far from the shore so you think if I could just get to the shore then I will be fine. You keep pushing. You keep swimming. But you start to get tired. You can’t take it anymore. You’re so tired of all of it and you just stop.

But if you would have just gotten out of your head, you would have realized that someone saw you. They were making their way to you, so you could reach the shore. They were going to be your friend. They were going to give you a hug that you always wanted.

If we could have kept swimming, we could have reached our goals, our dreams, our potential. We could have reached our purpose. We would have realized that we weren’t supposed to give up. That it wasn’t our time. We are constantly thinking about what isn’t going right and all those thoughts just get louder and louder.

Don’t Give Up!

I am trying to just keep swimming, I am trying to keep moving forward. No matter how hard life hits you, just keep swimming. Whether you get bullied at school, get called names, fail classes, or whatever else you are going through, don’t let it bring you down. When life throws you a ball, catch it, don’t let it hit you.

I know life can be hard, especially for a teenager. We think that it’s the end of the world. We think that life never makes sense and no one ever understands us at all. I think the same thing. I go through life feeling alone, feeling unloved, feeling like no one understands. Everyone has a way that they deal with certain things. I do. I sing and I play the piano.

It’s Not Your Time to Quit

There is so much more in you. You have potential to do great things. You will never know what chances, what opportunities, what dreams you can accomplish.

Don’t quit. Don’t stop. Don’t give up.

There’s a lot more in you than what you think of yourself.  I get it, everyone struggles. Everyone goes through things. But don’t let the little things stop you. I am only 15 years old and if I am saying it then it’s important. I say it from experience. Just keep swimming.
