ASU Prep Digital - College Going Handbook
Tuition/Fees/Invoicing
All
Full-time Arizona Public students taking at least 4 ASU Prep High School courses are eligible for a tuition waiver covering the $600 tuition for up to two 3-credit college courses per fall and spring semester.
- ASU Prep will invoice for payment and fees through the parent portal and is due prior to the start of ASU courses. Failure to make payment will result in the administrative withdrawal of the concurrent course(s). If the student has a previous balance, their outstanding fees and tuition must also be paid in full prior to enrollment.
- College courses often require textbooks to be purchased. ASU Prep will not provide textbooks (Textbooks may be bought in ASU’s campus bookstore, purchased online or rented through a textbook rental agency at my expense.) Some courses provide a digital textbook that is automatically charged to the student account, students must “opt out” if they want to purchase textbooks elsewhere.
- Students are held responsible for any books, materials, or charges made to their ASU student account. This includes but is not limited to: purchase of books via the ASU Bookstore, ASU Suncard, OR parking passes. These payments must be reconciled in a timely fashion to avoid late fees. If students have a past due ASU account, they will be ineligible for future ASU course registration and barred from attendance at in-person events such as ASUP Graduation until balances are paid in full.
- If a student is enrolled in a Concurrent Course or Universal Learner Course (regardless of conversion) over the summer session (May- July) they will be held responsible for tuition (invoiced through ASU Prep account) and applicable course fees and books (invoiced in their MyASU for Concurrent courses).
- If families choose to pay out of pocket for credits exceeding 6 (or exceeding 9 for approved seniors) they are responsible for any tuition and fees if they drop, withdraw, or decide not to convert after the posted add/drop dates. This will apply to both Universal Learner and Concurrent.
