⭐️Celia Møller⭐️ – Lead Editor (Senior)
Hi! My name is Celia, and I am so excited to be completing my final year at ASU Prep Digital while serving as the Lead Editor of our Student Blog. Growing both as a writer and a leader through this club has been very meaningful to me. Our incredible community of student bloggers produces amazing work, and I am honored to share their stories and writing with you this year.
I live in Fountain Hills, Arizona and am passionate about community involvement and public service. I currently serve as President of the Town Mayor’s Youth Council, take part in the ASUPD National Honor Society, and I am a Sandra Day O’Connor Civics Club Ambassador. My interest in civic engagement also led me to complete the Maricopa County Student Election Leadership Program and serve as a student election clerk during the recent Arizona Primary. Looking ahead, my goal is to use the Starbucks College Achievement Plan to double major in Political Science and Philosophy as a pre-law track at Arizona State University. I am proud to graduate in 2027 with 59 college credits already earned through our ASUPD concurrent enrollment program.
Outside of school and leadership roles, I work part-time as a barista at Starbucks, enjoy going to the gym, and love to travel. Some of my favorite trips have been to Germany and Ireland, and I am hoping to visit Italy next summer! Naturally, I also love to write; particularly non-fiction and journalism pieces. Recently, for one of my political science courses, I had the opportunity to attend local government meetings and write analysis papers, which has become one of my favorite academic experiences.
This year, our club has more bloggers than ever before, and I can’t wait to share all of their stories with you. Stay tuned!
⭐️Taegan Hardy⭐️ – Co-Editor (Senior)
Hi! My name is Taegan. I am Co-Editor for our Student Blog, and I’m so excited to enter my senior year at ASUPD. I’ve been a student here for about six years, a member for four, and I am so stunned at how fast time has gone by.
I’m a dual-enrolled National Honor Society student with the dream of becoming a professional dancer. I’ve danced since I was 3, taking hip-hop, jazz, tap, lyrical, and contemporary, but I specialize in ballet. My goal is to either join the IDL or become a backup dancer for a famous artist, which is why I hope to double major in dance and marketing at the UofA. Two of my biggest achievements as a dancer have been performing at the 2025 NASCAR Championship and on Main Street at Disneyland. So who knows? Maybe you’ve seen me dancing somewhere!
When I’m not in the studio, you’ll catch me at a concert on the other side of the country or playing Fortnite after hours. With so much of my schedule going towards my other passions, Student Blog is where I keep my love for writing alive.
I’m so excited to see so many new faces this year in the club, and I can’t wait to get to know you all!
⭐️Brooklyn Ries⭐️ – Secretary (Junior)
Hi! I’n Brooklyn and I live in sunny Arizona! I am just starting my junior year and this will be my first year in Student Blog! So far, I’ve loved what opportunities student blog gives to its members and I am so excited to see how much I learn this year!
I am super passionate about sports and I strive to one day be a journalist or broadcaster. I love writing anything about sports and getting to know people within the field. I also love anything to do with the media side of sports, like social media posts and interviews.
Outside of school, I’m a nationally ranked artistic swimmer, previously called synchronized swimming, with my team just having won nationals with 7 different events winning 1st! Within this sport, I have coached younger swimmers and have represented Arizona nationally as an athlete for multiple years. I also love watching international level synchro as well as F1. I have been following F1 for a few years now and I have loved all of it! I love learning about strategy, how the cars work, and how the media transformed it to being one of the most watched sports. I also love fitness/health in general and working out with my friends. I love watching documentaries in my free time, most of them being about weather or major events. Along with all of this, I watch other sports like rowing, track, diving, and various motorsport genres.
I’m so excited to see what this year has in store with this club!
⭐️Amiya Austin⭐️ (Senior)
Hello! My name is Amiya Austin. I am in 12th grade, and I am currently 17 years old. I live in Phoenix, Arizona. This will be my second year at Student Blog. I am very passionate when it comes to writing fictional stories of any genre. Well, except when it comes to horror, as I have no experience with it and I am just not interested in writing stories about it. I especially like writing sad stories that have a happy ending to them, and my favorite type of story to write is a short story. I also like writing poems even though I rarely write them. I also like playing D&D and have taken a great interest in it. I even write the summaries of my campaign. I also have a big interest in the animated TV show “Total Drama,” and it happens to be my favorite show of all time. It is where I take inspiration on how to summarize what happens in my D&D campaign. I also have a Pomeranian named Maxwell. I also like to sing, read, and exercise. My overall favorite color is yellow, but I do like other colors like purple, pink, and gold. I also like listening to music, but I do not have a favorite artist or song. I also do not have a favorite book or movie. Overall, I am really excited to be joining Student Blog again this year, and I cannot wait to see what we will write about this year!
⭐️Ashlee Dodd⭐️ (Senior)
Hi everyone! I’m Ashlee Dodd, I am seventeen years old and a current senior here at ASU Prep Digital. I’ve been a part of our Student Blog Club since the middle of my sophomore year, and looking back, joining was easily one of the best decisions of my high school experience. There is something incredibly rewarding about collaborating with other students from all over the place and bringing our unique, diverse perspectives together through our shared writing projects.
Outside of the virtual classroom, my absolute biggest passion is creative writing. I spend a massive chunk of my free time drafting short stories, building complex fictional worlds, and developing characters completely from scratch. Alongside my own creative work, I’m deeply passionate about student advocacy. The blog has given me an incredible platform to write about topics that actually matter to us as peers—things like mental health awareness, finding accessible wellness resources, and navigating the unique ups and downs of online learning. I also love using my voice to promote upcoming school events, which helps our digital community feel a little tighter, friendlier, and much more connected.
When I’m not typing away at a school assignment or working on a new story, you can almost always find me listening to music. My current playlists are a moody mix of classic rock and dark, alternative pop, which usually provides the perfect background inspiration for the atmospheric stories I enjoy writing. I’m so excited to keep creating and sharing more pieces with all of you throughout this school year!
⭐️Grace Sandrin⭐️ (Senior)
Hi, my name is Grace, and I’m currently at the start of my senior year! I have lived in Arizona my whole life, occasionally swapping one Phoenix suburb for another. I am not a big fan of the dry weather here.
This will be my first year in Student Blog. I wish I had joined sooner! I’ve been an avid writer (mainly of fiction/fantasy) since elementary school but have experienced some major burnout. Writing used to be a nightly ritual for me. I miss being able to sit down and just throw words onto a page, regardless of their quality. School, college admissions, and balancing all my extracurriculars has made it difficult for me to find time to just write. I’m very familiar with the dilemma of staring at a blank Google Docs page. All that to say, being in this club will definitely help motivate me to get something written down. It’s inspiring just to be surrounded by other writers!
When I have free time, I’m usually engaged in some creative medium. Digital art is my main thing (and has been for the past five years or so) but crochet comes in at a close second. Art has been a steady interest of mine, unlike writing, but I think the two go hand-in-hand for me. Most of my art involves character design. At some point, I hope to translate these designs into stories.
I’m glad that there’s other students passionate about writing at ASUPD. Being in this club will be a great way for me to explore other people’s passions, get inspired, and learn a few things. And, not to mention, I’ll get to meet some new faces! I look forward to working alongside everyone in the Student Blog!

⭐️Audrey V.⭐️ (Senior)
Hello, my name is Audrey V. (They/She) and I live in the great state of Arizona! This is my second year at Student Blog ever since I joined one of the open mics and read one of my poems there! The kinds of pieces I like to write most commonly are poems and fictional stories, especially romance and stories centered around character’s emotions and growth as people. My love for these kinds of stories are greatly inspired by anime/manga as a whole, as anime and manga dive into various themes and subjects that focus on emotional stories and thought-out character growth. I also am greatly involved in fandom, which is the act of engaging with a media that is not your own creation. This can involve engaging in fan-labor, which can be creating content for the media, like fanart, fanfiction, even fan games, and etcetera, etcetera. I myself am highly inspired by fandom, as most of my stories and poems are fanworks for some of my favorite medias, like Link Click, a suspenseful time-travel mystery donghua (Chinese anime) involving supernatural powers using photographs, Heaven Official’s Blessing (TGCF), a Chinese fantasy queer romance filled with action and Chinese mythology-inspired fantasy concepts, and a media that will come out of nowhere amongst this list of my favorites, SFAWTDE, or Searching For a World That Doesn’t Exist, along with its sequel, which is Destroying a World That Doesn’t Exist. This is a Minecraft ARG series my friend got me into that inspired me to write two fanworks for and draw human designs of the main characters. That usually NEVER happens when I get into a fandom, besides Link Click and TGCF, so it’s fascinating that I was able to get so inspired by a media I just recently got into. I am becoming more engrossed with Minecraft ARGs over time, which is funny because I’ve only played Minecraft once, and it was at a hospital. Crazy, right? Anyways, those are some of my main interests and hobbies along with the kinds of pieces I like to write! I’m excited to write more pieces for this blog site, and I hope to get better at my writing skills!!

Haha Aren’t I so funny! Get the reference? Cat the hat, cat in da blog? No? Okay…. Well hello there I’m Cat or Caitlin whichever you prefer! I live out in Goodyear Arizona, which means every year is a good year. I’ve been in the blog for 3 years now. I joined the blog when I joined ASU Prep in my freshmen year, the best decision ever, I love the blog club and have learned so much from it.
I love writing in general! I love writing any type of genre, but my favorites are think pieces and romance. Right now I have two different side pieces going on. One about AI in schools and one funny office romance. My office romance just hit 4,000 words! I normally write right before I go to bed instead of doom scroll which has helped my sleep a lot!
My hobbies outside of writing are drawing and watching F1. I have a youtube channel called encaged dreamer studio where I’ve been posting my art for 3 years! I’m really proud of how far my art has come over time. Then on the side I love waking up super early in the morning to watch F1. My favorite drivers are Esteban Ocon and Kimi Antonelli. I’ve been an Ocon fan for 3 years now. The first F1 race I ever watched was the Monaco grand prix in 2023. When Ocon was able to come in 3rd and said the iconic line “Estie Bestie on the podium baby!”
I also have an internship right now with Baltu Technologies. It’s kind of like having another class on top of the classes I already have. It’s basically a website that allows you to get certifications in different engineering spaces. By the end of this year I should have my certification in SACA 101 and then I will start doing testing for their new aerospace certifications! So I’m really excited!

⭐️Riley Hornsby⭐️ (Junior)
Hello, my name is Riley Hornsby. For now, I live in Yuma, Arizona, but there was once a time when I traveled across states ranging from Georgia to New York with my mother, my sister, and our 3 dogs. Then we moved here, and we gained 5 more dogs. I recently joined the student blog and attended my first meeting last week, and I enjoyed it very much. Overall, I’m just passionate about writing; there isn’t really a thing that I’m like head over heels for. I enjoy all types of writing, whether it’s a nonfiction story writing about someone who did something inspiring in their life. Fiction where I can make up something within a fantasy realm where I could be able to create creatures that haven’t been made before. Rom-coms where I add comedy to a love story and make it tie together. Action thrillers or just plain action where I can write out an entire story of someone maybe avenging their dead dog. It’s all pleasurable for me because I end up learning something new from each story; along with the knowledge gained, I also may be able to one day reach someone with my stories. However, writing is not the only thing I like to do; I also enjoy playing sports, cutting hair (occasionally), eating, and working out. I also plan to join the military after high school is over. I also enjoy watching movies and TV shows such as The Maze Runner trilogy or the Hunger Games franchise, and as for shows, I like watching Lanterns and How I Met Your Mother, as of right now anyways.

Legally, my name is Isabella Ontiveros, however most people just call me Bella and I use they/them pronouns. I am a junior and I am excited to write alongside my peers in my first year with the Student Blog. Currently, I live in Chandler, AZ but I’ve lived in a number of places throughout my life. I was born in El Paso, TX, and I have lived in St. Louis, MO, Atlanta, GA, and Houston, TX. Due to the variety of places I’ve lived, you may come to find I’ve picked up a unique diction over time. This can be shown through how I say stuff such as “ya’ll” and call people “love” platonically.
As a writer, I tend to venture into a little bit of everything depending on my mood. Some of my favorite pieces to write, however, are creative non-fiction and realistic fiction. I thrive when writing pieces people can relate to and helping people feel like their own stories are being heard by those around them. While I enjoy writing about my life, I also love creating my own worlds when writing fiction with characters that people can see themselves in. When I’m not writing, doing schoolwork, or hanging out with my 3 younger siblings, you’ll most likely find me at my dance studio either teaching or taking class.
At the end of the day, I hope you learned in this brief introduction that I’m just a person who loves to channel their creativity into art. As Mr. Silvera said, a story can make someone immortal, thank you for listening to mine.

Hi! I’m Amira, I am currently a junior in high school. I live in Phoenix, Arizona. This is my 2nd year being a part of the student blog and I’m very excited to be a part of it for another year! Something I’m passionate about is doing research on health and wellness related things and then writing about what I learned. For example, writing about the small changes you can make in your everyday routines that can benefit your overall health. Topics about health are not only interesting but extremely helpful because it impacts your life which is what strikes my attention the most about it. In my free time I workout, play the piano, watercolor, journal, hike, shop, hang out with friends and family and may or may not spend some time doomscrolling. An interest of mine is time management because doing these hobbies do require some time management to balance out school and rest, because of this I’m taking a critical thinking class this year. It’s already helped me so much, I’ve been able to self-reflect, see where I spend most of my time and if I spend too much time doing stuff that won’t benefit me I’ve learned how to redirect time to things that will benefit me. I’m excited to continue learning more about that class and making changes that will benefit not only my time but my future.

Hi Hello, My name is Bella Q Orozco. I am sixteen. I am a Sagittarius, and I am a junior. I have been studying with ASU Prep for about 6 years, and I love it. I live in the middle of nowhere in a town called Payson, AZ, but I am originally from Phoenix, AZ. I am so excited to be in my first year of the student blog here at ASU Prep and to write about so many exciting topics. I am excited to write anything that allows me to be creative, especially fantasy or anything that sparks my interest. When I am not writing for the student blog, I am volunteering at my local library or baking/cooking with my sister and mom, but one of my ultimate hobbies I love doing is reading romance novels. My favorite romance novels are Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter and Betting On You by Lynn Painter. What can I say, I love rom-coms in a book. I also love being a couch potato and watching my favorite sitcoms; my favorites are How I Met Your Mother and Gilmore Girls, and I am currently loving The Office. I also love hanging out with all my family pets. For reference, we have four cats (Sunday, Mishi, Luna, Frankenstein), 3 dogs (Sally, Bart, Lisa), and 2 turtles ( Mr. Sage and Arugula), and my sister has 2 snapping turtles ( Bob and Kevin). So it is safe to say we have a zoo at my house. And not to mention, I am also always hanging out with my two younger brothers, Jude and Luca.

Hello! My name is Makenna Lewis, and I am currently in tenth grade. This is my third year attending ASU Prep Digital and my second year as a member of Student Blog. I have lived in Surprise, Arizona, which is a rather boring suburb outside of Phoenix, for my entire life.
I started intentionally writing when I was about six, making picture books about the adventures of my stuffed animals. My mom was a kindergarten and first grade teacher before I was born, so I grew up surrounded by all types of children’s books. These days, when I write for myself, I typically write poetry or fantasy, but I (almost) always enjoy the writing assignments in school as well, though they tend to be in nonfiction categories. I think writing is one of the most interesting ways to express yourself because it can take so many different forms.
In my spare time, I’m usually reading. I really enjoy learning, particularly about art and culture, and I think reading is the best way to achieve that. I read a variety of books, including fantasy, literature classics, historical fiction, poetry, and the occasional science fiction or dystopian. My favorite book is probably The Book Thief by Markus Zusak – a World War II historical fiction narrated by Death – and it happens to carry one of my favorite quotes as well: “I have hated words and I have loved them, and I hope I have made them right.” Apart from reading and writing, you can find me playing solitaire, listening to music, or rewatching my small collection of movies on DVD.

⭐️Alizabeth Meadows⭐️ (Sophomore)
Hi! My name is Alizabeth Meadows, but you can call me either Zia or Aliza. I’m in 10th grade (so excited to finally be a sophomore!!) and this is my second year with the Student Blog. I live in Surprise, Arizona (the “family suburb” of Phoenix). I am really excited for another year with the Student Blog. For a while, I wasn’t completely sure I was going to be able to do the Student Blog, but after a review of all my subjects, I thought I could manage clubs and classes, and so fair, it looks like I’ll be able to!! I love writing creatively, and by the end of the semester my goal is to finally publish “To Fear the Dark,” my final rough draft, without the word count. I really hope I’m able to publish it with The New Yorker magazine. (Fingers crossed!!) I’ve started working on another short story, which I hope to publish by the end of next semester! I love to explore, read, write, and listen to music. I’ve recently started a hobby of embroidery! I enjoy creating things overall, whatever it is, and seeing the result. Stories, to me, are life and soul of everything. Movies, TV shows, all of it, most of the time, is based on a story.
I’m excited for this new year in the club! I’m excited to meet new members and see the old ones. I am looking forward to this semester (I like the fact that there seems to be even more creative posts this semester.)

Hi, my name is Daisy! I live in Tucson, Arizona, with my family and four cats. I like hiking, reading, drawing, listening to music, and playing video games in my spare time. I listen to a variety of stuff, but my favorite genres are mainly K-pop and Y2K songs. I sometimes make little comics in my notebook of my ocs! I really like creepy-cute type of stories (like Goodnight Punpun, Watership Down, When the Wind Blows, etc.), so a lot of the stories I make take elements from that. I don’t really have any genres I don’t like. I believe that anything is good if you can make it work with the story (I accept some things are cringe, but so is life sometimes). I also like analog horror, theater, and recently got into horseback riding!

Hi everyone! ˙𐃷˙ I’m Gianna Moya, a 10th grader, and this will be my first year in Student Blog. (I am very, very excited!)
What am I passionate to write about? (˶˃𐃷˂˶)
I’ve always been a day-dreamer, but over time I realized I could turn my day dreams into stories. Writing is an art in all forms, but I’m personally drawn to creative writing. (However, analyses and opinion pieces are still very, very interesting to me).
My favorite thing about story writing is characters. Aren’t they the heart of everything? I find that a character’s personality really gets to shine when it clashes with another—be that through friendship, romance, family, or even conflict.
What else do I like to do? ᝰ.ᐟ ݁♬⋆.˚𝄞
I have and always will love to draw. Drawing is really like a story with an ambiguous ending; it’s open to as many interpretations as there are stars in the sky. And just like the sky, it all depends on when, where, and how you look at it!
I also like to make music to reflect my mood. Sometimes art and writing can be really frustrating with trying to make them “good,” or “presentable.” Music comes to me more naturally than the other two do, and for whatever reason, I’m much more forgiving to myself when it comes to the mistakes I make in my music.

I guess I should end off with something I think is important, right? Take this with you before you go: mistakes really are a permanent part of every process, even in my day dreams and my ambiguous endings. You can’t shake them, but you can move around them. Over time, it’ll look less like you’re tripping over your mistakes and more like you’re leading them in a graceful dance.
When I make a mistake, I acknowledge it and move on, hoping that next time I’ll do better.

Hi I’m Mikey. I live in Mesa Arizona. It’s been one semester of me in blog club, this is my second semester, and I plan on staying for a while. I am passionate to write poems similar to how Tupac wrote his poems before he got into rapping. I play guitar, I play magic the gathering, I have a youtube channel, I like to play story type video games.
⭐️Aaisha Syed⭐️ (Sophomore)
Hello! My name is Aaisha (pronounced EYE|SHUH), and I live in the Greater Phoenix area. This is my first year in Student Blog so I’m really excited to get started. I’m most looking forward to the Career Spotlight this semester. It’s been a while since I have interviewed anyone for a school activity so I am excited to get to know the teacher I’m going to be speaking with. Outside of blog, I like writing fiction. I have a habit of writing 40 pages of each story and discarding them because I run out of ideas to move the plot forward. I’ve started a new story, but this time, I’m planning what to write before setting my pen to paper. I also enjoy writing short stories, but I find it challenging to write any without a prompt. Other than writing, I enjoy reading, crocheting (somedays), volunteering at my local library and sporadically cooking and baking. My favorite book series so far has been “The Ascendance Series” by Jennifer A. Nielsen. This series was really fast-paced and there wasn’t a lot of description bogging down the writing so I really enjoyed it. Even if you’re not a reader, I would recommend this series since it’s one of the books that don’t feel like you’re doing homework while reading. For my studies in the future, I’m planning on doing something in the medicine field in college but am undecided as to what I will actually choose to be my career. Finally, a fun fact about me is I’m left-handed and I often notice if you’re right or left-handed because of this.

What you are passionate to write about: I am passionate to write about science nonfiction and science fiction.
Any other fun facts about yourself (such as hobbies or interests): Some fun facts about me is that I love storms and meteorology and that my dream job is to be an extreme storm chaser when I am older. Hobbies of mine include playing electric guitar, watching movies, playing football and jiujitsu. I enjoy walking through forests and wooded areas, and I love the paranormal. I do theatre and a long time goal is to get in a movie or major production. My favorite show is Stranger Things and my favorite movies are Twister and Scream 1. I do not read much, but when I do, I read about famous storms and fantasy fiction. I really want to spread awareness on global warming and climate change, and light pollution. My favorite animals are snakes and my favorite colors are red and black. I love Spider-Man and my favorite bands are Panic! At the Disco, and Queen. I do not write often, but if i were to write a book, I’d write either a science non fiction of weather, or a science fiction on weather.

Hello, my name is Janelle Stayton. I am a Freshman from Peoria, Arizona. This is my first year in the student blog; I am thrilled to be a part of a beautiful club with a purpose to inform and entertain our community.
As an avid reader and bookworm, one of my favorite genres to write is fiction. Within the realm of fiction, I love fantasy, mystery, paranormal, and dystopian novels and pieces. On the other hand, I also love to write about ongoing societal issues such as mental health or climate change. I’d love to pursue a career in psychology in the future. 🙂
Furthermore, I am an aspiring musical theatre actress, having been in around 15 productions and counting. I love the performing arts; it’s an outlet to express yourself that’s also full of a wonderful, uplifting community. Currently, I serve on my church’s worship team as a vocalist, take dance classes, and am a part of a touring teen theater troupe. I’m also passionate about volunteering, either at my church or the library. Along with that, I also enjoy calming and therapeutic activities like crochet, playing the guitar, or reading to wind down on a cozy evening.
I decided to join the Student Blog to explore the art of writing and hope to improve my writing skills whilst in this club. No one is perfect; there’s always room for improvement! In all, I am so excited to be part of the Student Blog team and looking forward to writing for our school community. Thank you so much!
⭐️Edeyn Tayag⭐️ (Freshman)
Hello! My name is Edeyn Tayag, and I live in Peoria, Arizona. I’ve lived in Arizona my whole life, but I recently moved to Peoria from Buckeye. This is my first year in the Student Blog, which I’m super excited about. I’ve already enjoyed the meetings, and everyone has been very welcoming. I noticed I’m most passionate when writing about fiction or anything in the dystopian realm. Those are the main genres I read, so it makes sense that I’d like to write that way too. Some other fun facts about me include that I’m super into theatre and acting. I’ve done theatre for many years, first starting off in ASUPD’s middle school Drama Club, and I continue to take acting classes in my city. I’m currently enrolled in a virtual acting school with Mark Jermin. I also listen to various music artists and genres. I’m not too picky, but some of my favorite artists are Beach House, Arctic Monkeys, Lana Del Rey, and The Neighbourhood. The only genre I absolutely CAN’T listen to is country. I just don’t like how it sounds, but everyone has their preferences. Fun fact: I’m super obsessed with The Little Mermaid soundtrack, especially “Part of Your World”. I acknowledge that Disney soundtracks are drastically different from my usual music taste, but they just sound SO nostalgic. I’m super excited to be in this club; I’m glad I chose it over the other options I had. I hope my introduction can give you a little more insight into my personality. 🙂
