What This School Year Taught Me

By Mikey Vasquez

This school year was good overall. Honestly, it felt very quick. Something I’ve improved on is generally just focusing on myself and not worrying about others.  A challenge I’ve sort of overcame/I am overcoming is the isolation of not meeting people in person consistently. The next biggest thing coming up for me is graduating to a junior and just overall becoming prepared with the advancedness of 11th grade. So right now I’m focused on continuing highschool and scaling my personal detailing business. I really want to focus on getting all b’s or A’s and getting good grades in my college classes so my  transcript is looking good. 10th grade was mostly me transitioning to online and meeting the new people. Blog club was a really fun place to hangout and write and learn about writing. Celia was the host and she always brought enthusiasm and liveliness to the meetings and made it a comfortable place to talk and have your camera on. My teachers were really amazing and nice, this is the only year i’ve had where I didn’t get a rude/dreaded teacher. Im going to focus on college too as that’s coming up soon and Im already aware of what I sort of want to do in life. A future message for myself is that is always gets better no matter what and you can always change the life you have to one you want.
