The start of a new semester is often met with new challenges and new classes. For me I was mainly met with taking new classes. I felt a bit uneasy and exhilarated at the same time. However, the new semester brings new topics and learning experiences. It is basically like a fresh start to improve on different classes and learn new things from the new classes.
While on the topic of improving on different classes that is actually something I would like to improve on. The class I would like to improve on this semester is English 101. I chose this as a focus because it is something I would really like to improve on for personal reasons. I mean I really like getting good grades and while I do have a good grade in it so far, I would like to improve it. Specifically, I would like to improve it from a B to an A.
The class is challenging because of the brainstorming and getting my thoughts out on a document. There is also making sure I stay on topic and make some good points for the rough draft.
What I plan on doing differently is essentially rechecking my writing to make sure I am not repeating myself and the points I make can relate back to the writing objective. If the format has to be in a slide format, then I will do the same thing along with making sure the presentation is visually appealing along with making the overall presentation legible.
It is ok if you do not get everything right as nobody is perfect. It is always more important to make progress than to immediately be perfect as progress shows you are getting better at what you are doing and understanding it just as well. Just remember that just because the progress that you might be making seems slow, it does not mean you are not progressing at all and a little progress is always better than no progress.
