What Does it Mean to be Brave?

Doing What You Have to Do

I am sure that many of you think you aren’t brave compared to other people. I am here to tell you that you are braver than you think you are. “Don’t you see? You can’t be brave without being afraid. The brave ones are always afraid. But do what they must, even so.’’-Teri Hall.

You might be wondering why I put this quote in here. That is because I am trying to assure you that those people that you think are braver than you are actually scared, but they do what they have to even if they are afraid.

Do Not Fear Getting Hurt

‘’You’ll never be brave if you don’t get hurt. You’ll never learn if you don’t make mistakes. You’ll never be successful if you don’t encounter failure.’’

This quote was perfect because I know that everyone has been hurt at least once or twice. I personally have been hurt and I thought that I wasn’t brave. That was until my mom came to me. She told me that actually, I am brave. Just because I have been hurt doesn’t mean that I am any less brave than other people, they have been hurt just like me. That means that you are also brave to take that experience with you. Who knows, when you get through it then you can help someone else who has had the same experiences that you have.

Remember

There is one last quote that I want you to remember and say every morning and night, even post the quote in your room somewhere.

’’The thing about being Brave is it doesn’t come with the absence of fear and hurt. Bravery is the ability to look fear and hurt in the face and say move aside, you are in the way.’’-Melissa Tumino

I hope this poem and the few quotes that I put in the poem helped you and remember

‘’It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.’’-e.e cummings
