Nicola “Nikki” Homy

My life centers around three truths. The first truth is that every student can learn. When I was growing up I had many challenges learning new things in school. This is what drove me to get my bachelor’s degree in elementary education and my master’s degree in educational leadership. I have spent the last 17 years helping all my students to push pass there many challenges. My second truth is that everyone needs a cheerleader. For the last 4 years I was a school counselor and cheerleader for a virtual school. It fills my tank up when I get to partner with and serve families as they navigate this journey of education. My third truth is that with the right resources all students can be successful. I love seeking out new ways and reading books about the best ways to increase student achievement. My favorite book is the Growth Mindset Coach. When I am not reading, I enjoy spending time with my son and husband who teach me how to find the joy in every day.
