National Financial Literacy Month (April) is recognized each year to raise public awareness of the importance of financial literacy and maintaining smart money management habits. Learning these financial fundamentals should start early. Teens are thinking about money all the time. They are saving up for the things they want, controlling impulsive buys, and finding ways to make extra money. This session will cover how to incorporate financial literacy lessons relevant to students’ financial lives into existing curricula (including alignment to Arizona Social Studies Standards for Economics) to help students build healthy spending habits and set them up for financial success. Educators will learn how to use EVERFI’s digital lessons on personal finance and economics. We will explore online simulations for students as well as offline resources to build a plan for classroom implementation during April, Financial Literacy Month. All educators will create a free teacher dashboard and explore EVERFI’s wide array of financial education resources for middle school and high school students.

You will earn 1 hour of Professional Development credit for attending the session.
