This year I’m trying a new club called “Model UN”. It’s a debate club, it’s an interesting
idea for a club; but it could still use a little help here and there to get it to its full potential. Each
week I look forward to the blog club but sadly since I have chemistry at the same time, I can
only go half the time. My goals right now are to make a strong high school record so I can get a
few scholarships, so I can go to college and not get into too much debt. My classes now reflect
that by taking Spanish so I can get my 2 years of another language and I’m taking the principles
of engineering since I want to go into computer science with a side of data analytics.
The classes I’m taking right now are: Algebra 2 Part A, ASU student Blog, Chemistry Part A,
English 10 Part A, Model UN, Principles of Engineering 1B, Spanish 2 PArt A, and US history
Part A. Each week I split up the week by adding all the work I have and how many days I have.
So Mondays I usually do the most work trying to get an even number to divide 4 by. I don’t really
have a pattern in that sense. I go to every live lesson I can, I like going and seeing what the
teachers say about our work that week. I don’t have a club or sport I do outside of school but I
go to the gym every morning and I’m starting to look for a job. I set goals by the amount of work
I have, so for example this week I need to do 3 assignments each day in order to be done by
Friday. I’m going to be real with you. I still get very distracted at school, but being able to get up
and do something productive like pick up stuff around the house helps me. On days where I
really don’t want to work I put on a youtuber or steamer while I work. It helps me not feel alone.
My routine has improved a lot over the time I’ve been here because I don’t have to push through
days I don’t feel like working, like how you have to in a normal school. Plus I get to work out a
lot more which helps my mood a lot. But I also use a playlist on Spotify to keep me working too.
(Links below :D) But remember you are doing great, keep your head up!
