My semester schedule so far has been pretty interesting. What I was most excited about was
Spanish 3 and D&D club. I am taking a few new classes like Physics and Government but I am
also doing Student Blog which is a new club that I am in. My schedule reflects my goals
because it ensures that all of the subjects that I am working on will be balanced. It also makes
sure that I can get ahead in different classes if I would like to.
My classes this semester are Precalculus, English 101, Government, Seminar III A, Spanish 3,
Physics, and Junior Seminar. I normally work on all my subjects equally during the week.
Sometimes I will work on one subject on Tuesday and Wednesday and other times I will work on
that same subject next Monday. I work on all my subjects to ensure that I am on pace. I join live
lessons for Seminar III A, Spanish 3, and Physics. The clubs that I am in are D&D, Student
Blog, and NHS. I also do peer tutoring for other students.
I set goals for myself by seeing what assignments need to be done and work on them sometime
throughout the week. I normally do this by looking at the pace plans that I have or writing down
what assignments I want to get done for the week. I do not really have any distractions as I
avoid them by focusing on what needs to be done for my assignments and the overall work I
have to do for the week. My routine has improved since I first started by my schedule being
more organized than it initially was. It has also changed by my overall schedule being more
spread out among the subjects I have.
It is completely okay if you have to change your schedule because it does not work for you.
Sometimes we have to change a few things to make sure that we improve what we are doing.
No one is perfect and not everyone gets it right automatically. ASUPD is so flexible, you can
make your own schedule and create it to your liking. Even if your initial schedule does not fit
your likings or you want to change something about it. Overall, changing your schedule is a
good thing to experiment with as it can help you create something better.
