RPG Gaming, otherwise known as Roleplay Gaming, is a video game genre that has grown immensely popular in recent years. There are many well-known games that fit into this category including Skyrim, Stardew Valley, and many of the mainline Pokemon games. If you have joined the gaming world, I can promise you that you have played an RPG at least once, even if it isn’t your preference. So, why is it my favorite? Well, there are several reasons why I almost exclusively play RPG games. So, let me explain them.
Roleplay games appeal to many of my interests as both an author and a gamer. In a roleplaying game, you get to interact with many characters who have existing motivations and backstories that engage a player to get involved both strategically and emotionally. You, as a player, get to play a central role in what feels like a bigger world and get to interact in your own ways. They have plenty of replayable qualities since each playthrough is unique in its own ways. Also, every roleplaying game is wildly different from another, just think about Skyrim vs. Stardew Valley!
So, what are some role playing games that I would recommend? Well, there are many options to choose from. From an active battle strategy to a calming farm life, there is an RPG for anything you can imagine in gaming. My personal favorite RPG style game is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Special Edition. Where you get to explore a medieval type world as the species and class that you want. You get to join groups, battle dragons, and explore dungeons. There is so much content to this game that it is almost impossible to explain it all! This is only one of the many role playing games out there, and I highly recommend researching on your own the world that is RPG gaming. Even if you aren’t a gamer, you may be surprised by one special game that you find to be uniquely fun!
