The Verma and Ed Pastor Scholarship- May 15 deadline ($2,500-$5,000)

The Phoenix Community Development & Investment Corporation will award $2,500-$5,000
scholarships for post-secondary education to students in Maricopa county. Applications for the Verma &
Ed Pastor scholarship are due by May 15, 2019 to the Arizona Community Foundation. For more info and

The Phoenix Suns Charities SunStudent Scholarship- May 15 deadline ($5,000 to $7,000)

Phoenix Suns Charities wishes to recognize and reward students who set high expectations for themselves and have identified, and intend to pursue, endeavors that will lead to a successful future, not only for themselves but for their communities. Up to 7 total SunStudent Scholarship awards will go to Arizona students; 2 of which will be reserved for Native American students, and one for an exceptional student, who will receive the Kevin Johnson Scholar award of $7,000. Catherine M. Newman Memorial Scholarship Fund- May 15 deadline (amount varies)

The Catherine M. Newman Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the memory of Catherine (Cathy) Marie Newman with the objective of helping scholars who have demonstrated a passion for learning, hard work, and giving back to the community, but who may also need financial assistance to bring the dream of a college degree to fruition. Your application for this scholarship honors Cathy Newman’s memory and we appreciate your interest. 

Eligibility requirements: 3.0 GPA or above, intent to enroll full-time at ASU, NAU, or the UA. Preference for students majoring in sciences or writing (including math, engineering and journalism).

Ingebritson Family Scholarship- May 15 deadline (up to $3,000)

The Ingebritson Family Foundation makes scholarship awards to students attending Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, Maricopa Community Colleges, Yavapai College and Eastern Arizona College. Eligible students must have a 2.5 GPA or higher, have Financial Need as demonstrated by FAFSA, and intend to major in Nursing, Education, Finance, or Engineering. 

Award Details:
Award is up to $2,000 for a community college and $3,000 for a 4 year university.
