If you have ever felt a sense of belonging upon arriving on campus, you may have met a Student Ambassador. More than guides, Student Ambassadors are central to the ASUPD community. They serve as the school’s official representatives, welcoming prospective students and promoting campus culture at ASUPD.
The mission of the Student Ambassadors is to create a welcoming environment and offer genuine insights into the student experience. They aim to inspire the next generation of learners while developing their own leadership and public speaking skills.
Student Ambassadors actively participate in meetings that focus on communication workshops, event planning, and collaborative problem solving. They develop storytelling and presentation skills, organize campus visits, and discuss ways to enhance the student experience from application to graduation.
The Ambassadors are constantly on the move. They recently hosted a Spring Student Lounge, where they included activities such as Scribbl.io, Hangman, and quizzes. They also each might have a specific theme, like spring or a holiday, and they have a good variety to host for the school overall.
Student Ambassadors are vital to ASUPD because they turn a simple online program into a living, breathing community. They ensure that no one in this school feels like a stranger and are always welcoming. Whether you want to sharpen your professional skills or simply want to give back to the school that’s becoming your home, this club is the place to be.
