The gaming club is a very chill place. While I personally am not in the club I can say I have the teacher and she is amazing. Her name is Mrs. Stiller and she is an amazing teacher allowing for students to control the live lesson I bit more than others and allowing us more time to talk about topics we find interesting. So I can imagine she would be an amazing teacher for a club like the gaming club. I was lucky with being able to get a meeting with her:

Interview:
Q: Describe the club in one word:
A:Fun!
Q:If you had to pitch the club to someone, how would you pitch it?
A:Online school can be very isolating for students. It can also be very hard to meet people outside of online school. So the gaming club gives students a chance to meet like-minded people.
Q: How do you think students would describe the club?:
A:Students would describe the club as a place to interact with fellow people of the same interest. But also a place where they can go once a week to just relax and play some of their favorite games.
Q:What’s a piece of advice you’d give to new students?
A:I would say all new students should pick at least one club that fits them. Because without a club students could get very enclosed into a mindset of only working. So I think my best piece of advice would be to pick a club that works for them and just have fun.
Q:Why was the club made?
A:The gaming club was originally made by a student and the teacher, Miss Crow, five years ago. Were the student asked, wouldn’t it be great if students had a place to come together and play video games. Well Miss Crow has moved away from the gaming club, Miss Stiller is happy to lead the club now.
Q:What would you say the overall atmosphere of a club is?
A:The atmosphere is very chill with no stressors or agenda for students to follow. The club is mainly student led with all students making the decisions and choosing the games for the day with the Teacher just being there for the ride. We try to keep the atmosphere to just a calm collected area that has nothing to do with school for one hour in the week.
