Ranking Taylor Swift Albums

Taylor Swift is a musical artist who has been releasing albums since 2006. Throughout her career, she has tried out different genres of music including country, pop, and indie. Swift has broken many records, even some that she has previously set herself. Since 2021, she has been releasing new versions of her albums that were created before 2019. So far, she has released two new editions which also have “vault tracks” or songs that she wrote during that era that didn’t make it onto the album. No matter what music someone listens to, Taylor Swift has a song that they will like.
1. Reputation – This album, which was released in 2017, was the first album Swift released after she disappeared from the public eye. She talks about her relationships with her boyfriend, enemies, and the media. Popular songs from this album include “…Ready for It”, “Look What You Made Me Do”, and “Delicate”.
2. EvermoreEvermore is the second album Swift released in 2020. Although it’s very similar to Folklore, it doesn’t get the same recognition. Popular songs from this album include “Willow”, “Champagne Problems”, and “Gold Rush”.
3. Folklore Folklore was a surprise album which dropped in July of 2020. This was the first album that was indie instead of pop or country and had songs that weren’t about Swift’s life. Popular songs include “Cardigan”, “Exile”, and “August”.
4. Midnights – As of today, this is Taylor’s most recent album. It was her return to pop after the last two albums. So far, she has released two music videos so fans are able to picture the songs better. Popular songs include “Anti-Hero”, “Lavender Haze”, and “Karma”.
5. Red (Taylor’s Version) – The second rerecording allowed for Taylor to create a short film for the first time for one of her songs. Her relatable songs allowed fans to refall in love with Red. Popular songs include “Red”, “I Knew You Were Trouble”, and “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)”.
6. LoverLover was completely different from her previous release of Reputation. This lovey-dovey album has a mix of upbeat and depressing songs. Popular songs include “ME!”, “You Need To Calm Down”, and “Lover”.
7. Fearless (Taylor’s Version)Fearless was rereleased in 2021 which was 13 years after the original. Her first rerecording allowed fans to be brought back to her country and high school era. Popular songs include “Fifteen”, “Love Story”, and “You Belong With Me”.
8. 1989 – Released in 2014, 1989 was Swift’s first entirely pop album. She covers many topics that weren’t in her previous albums. Popular songs include “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space”, and “Wildest Dreams”.
9. Speak NowSpeak Now is a very special album because it was entirely written by Taylor herself. She covers a range of topics including love, heart break, and jealousy. Popular songs include “Mine”, “Enchanted”, and “Mean”.
10. Taylor Swift – The self titled album was Swift’s debut album which was released in 2006. It started her career off strong in the country space. Popular songs include “Our Song”, “Picture To Burn”, and “Teardrops On My Guitar”.
