Spring Cleaning Tips

Written by Billie Fetcher

It is time to get cleaned! Spring is my favorite season because it’s a reset. You made it through the winter and are ready to take on the summer. Spring is the seamless transition between the seasons, but you need to get organized! Here are some excellent spring cleaning tips.

Calm and CleaningYour mindset has a significant impact on your productivity. I suggest you leave all negative thoughts at the door! It is easy to focus on the negative when cleaning, but you will clean better with a positive attitude. This can be as simple as looking towards the future. Instead of saying, “this is going to take forever, “say, “It will look amazing when I finish.” The switch in connotation makes a world of difference.

Start Small The Empire State Building wasn’t built overnight. While I hope that your spring cleaning isn’t the size of the Empire State Building, it is critical to remember that things take time. My biggest suggestion is to start small and do a little more every day. This can help you feel less overwhelmed and contribute to something bigger.

Don’t be Afraid to Donate.Don’t be afraid to donate your unwanted belongings. It can be hard to let go of things that might have meaning to your life. When I donate, I like to think that I am diving into an item of new life in someone else’s eyes. I struggle the most with donating clothes because I think about how I wore this article for a special occasion. I like to remember that I will always have pictures and ask myself if I will wear them again. Donating items helps so many people; furthermore, your unwanted things will be appreciated.

I hope these tips help you in your spring-cleaning journey! I invite you to be kind to yourself this season. Nothing happens overnight! Patience is important. I believe in you, and you should believe in yourself. Remember to use these helpful tips; happy cleaning!
