⭐️ It’s all about the teacher! ⭐️
Even though I love all of my classes. The one class that stood out to me the most was my English 10 Part A, taught by Ms. Ulrich. For this class we do a lot of writing and looking through slides for the class. This class helps us grow our skills in writing, grammar, and our reading skills. This class is necessary but the teacher, Ms. Ulrich makes the class very interesting and interactive. I got the amazing chance to interview Ms. Ulrich.
Interview:
Q: How’d you get into teaching?
A: I didn’t really have anyone who pushed me to be a teacher. But in real life I feel like writing is very healing for people and writing when I was your age it helped me a lot and being able to escape the real world. So writing can show people they can make their own world and journey.
Q: What do you love most about teaching this course?
A: I really like the historical fiction section. I’m always very shocked to see how creative students can be when given the chance. Seeing how kind the students can be to people who went through the time of these tragedies.
Q: What’s one piece of advice you give to students starting it?
A: Take every opportunity you are given, get into a club, take college courses for free. It’s amazing we can do that. So take every opportunity you are given at this school. Don’t cheat yourself and really take ownership of this school time we have. Paying attention to our grades. Try your hardest for your grades in class and your grades will make a real difference when you are older.
Q: What’s one project or topic students usually enjoy most?
A: In English 10 B, the first assignment is about teenage mental health. Where you write a letter to the news that the students do research for it. The students can take it anywhere they want to go. It helps students learn about themselves and the world around them. Also, once the work is done the letters are submitted to the news and it could end up in a real newspaper.
(Interview ends)
While this class is not one I picked. The thing that makes the class amazing is the amazing teacher Ms. Ulrich. The way she is able to get the students involved in the work. While I was already very interested in reading. The teacher has only enhanced my interest in it more. Thank you for reading my post! Remember to try and find the good in all your classes and get your work done!
