Promoting Literacy-Elementary: The first focus of the session will be on what we know about the science of reading. Next, we will provide a refresher on the Big 5: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. The refresher will also address how digital tools and technology can help support differentiation and engagement. K-5 teachers will leave with a toolkit of ideas to support their practice in the upcoming school year.
Audience: Elementary educators and leaders
Models: Online, In-person, or Hybrid teachers
Certificate Hours: PD certificate for 3 hours upon completion of session
